RA Road Safety | Accelerating road safety goals | 2024

Roads Australia (RA) invites you to a join a new Safety Working Group, where our upcoming session will focus on eliminating risk and trauma on Australian roads.

Date: Tuesday, 20 August 2024
Time: 2.30pm – 4.30pm
Format: Hybrid – a Teams link will be shared prior to the session for those unable to join us at the Transurban Boardroom in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

The session will be led by Nicole Green, RA Director and Group Executive of Australian Markets at Transurban, and Anita Langford, First Assistant Secretary for Road and Vehicle Safety at the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications at the Arts (DITRDCA).

Members will be briefed on Australia’s road safety journey by Transurban, as well as new local and global road safety perspectives from Monash University Accident Research Centre and GHD.

This will be a working session to engage with fellow transport and infrastructure industry colleagues to share your perspective and help set RA’s areas of road safety focus for the year ahead. Outcomes will be captured in a program to help RA members stay connected and contribute to this campaign’s delivery.

Members – especially technical experts – involved in planning, road design, civil and structural engineering, construction, digital solutions providers and road operations and maintenance are encouraged to attend.

Please note – there is limited seating available in person at each of the venues. RA will confirm your attendance format (online or in person) once we have received all RSVPs.
