Event description

The Session
This presentation will cover a range of building types and their technical paint requirements. Heritage buildings and retaining walls for example require moisture vapour permeable paint to minimise the risk of paint failure due to moisture within the substrate whereas modern buildings often require a highly moisture resistant paint system – and at times both. Highly water resistant membrane paints usually appear somewhat plastic-like, however combining a membrane with a natural paint finish can provide both function and aesthetics. Woodwash Exterior on the other hand is a water based oil which provides protection and looks without inherent issues related to using water based paint on timber.
