There has never been a more important time to consider becoming a registered architect.

The NSW Government intends to deliver legislative reforms to improve construction quality and restore confidence to the wider NSW construction industry. This includes expanding licensing and registration requirements for building design work and introducing new requirements for all designers to be licensed for certain work.

Architects are trained, accredited and registered professionals and in NSW have operated for more than 100 years within a well-regulated professional system that sets the bar for other building design professionals.  But to be able to call yourself an Architect you need to get registered first!  This webinar will tell you everything need to know about the various pathways to registration as an Architect in Australia.  Join the webinar and find out which pathway is best for you.

Dr Kirsten Orr
​​Dr Kirsten Orr is the Registrar and CEO of the NSW Architects Registration Board, the Government regulator for approx. 6,200 NSW architects. Her role drives the governance and performance of functions under the Architects Act 2003. This includes enforcing architects’ regulatory obligations, operating complaints investigation and dispute resolution systems, and developing and implementing initiatives to improve and strengthen regulatory effectiveness, including the delivery of education programs to enhance architects’ understanding of professional standards.

This 1 hour session offers 1 formal CPD point, performance criterion addressed is 1 from the AACA National Standard of Competency for Architects 2021.
