Want to know the basics of Jewish life?

Maybe you didn’t go to Shabbat school. Maybe you did and didn’t pay attention. Maybe you didn’t grow up Jewish - or maybe you forgot some stuff and need to brush up.   

This three-part series will introduce you to the building blocks of Judaism. We’ll explore the Jewish beliefs and concepts that make up the foundations of the Jewish tradition. Core Jewish texts like the Mishnah, the Talmud and Midrash will reveal themselves as part of a beautiful, multifaceted, intergenerational weave of wisdom and insight.

This won’t be a dry survey of ideas, though. Along the way we’ll explore different ideas about God and encounter beautiful texts to give you a taste of the beauty of Jewish spirituality.

This will be an accessible introduction to the ideas that hold Judaism together, with depth and a few surprises along the way.

No knowledge of Hebrew or of prayer is required to love this class!
