Rabbits are becoming an increasing problem in many parts of South Gippsland. As a community we have to tackle this problem together. As part of the Partnerships Against Pests initiative South Gippsland Landcare Network with support from Envirogain is holding a Rabbit Control Workshop
This event will begin at the Tarwin Lower Hall where we will,
- Discuss why controlling rabbits is important for economical and environmental reasons
- Get started creating a long term management plan for Rabbits (and foxes)
- How to map and keep record of your issues and why this is important
- Chat about ideas for community collaboration
After this we will travel to a nearby property (address to be provided after registration) for a demonstration and/or discussion of control techniques including,
- Baiting, trapping
- Use of a smoker, fumigation
- Fencing
Note their will be no use of chemicals on the day.
