Event description

Prepare to be inspired as the City of Clarence proudly presents an evening with two remarkable women for a screening of Rachel’s Farm from film director and actress Rachel Ward, and a real-life conversation with local Clarence farmer and author Rachael Treasure.

Rachel’s Farm, a bold and triumphant film directed by the talented actress and filmmaker, Rachel Ward. This film goes beyond the screen—it’s a deeply personal journey that unveils Rachel’s transformation from the glamour of entertainment to the grounded world of regenerative farming. Through intimate interviews and heartfelt storytelling, Rachel shares her awakening to the ecological impacts of conventional agriculture and her commitment to restoring the health of Australia's land, food, and climate.

After the film, the audience is invited to talk with Rachael Treasure about regenerative, "natural sequence" food farming and landscape repair in Tasmania. Rachael is a mother and the author of Jillaroo, the Cattleman’s Daughter, The Rouseabout and others including her most recent novel, Milking Time. Talk with the owner of Tasmania's very own Rachael’s Farm!

The cost of entry includes a drink of your choice, and we will have snacks and alcoholic and soft drinks available for sale as well.

Doors open at 6.30pm and please be seated for a 7pm start.
