Election '25: Roadmap for Refugee Policy Reform Briefing + Q&A
Event description
In the lead-up to the 2025 Federal Election, Refugee Advice & Casework Service (RACS) has created a Roadmap for Refugee Policy Reform, setting out key priorities for the next parliament. Although Resolution of Status for almost 20,000 refugees was a high point of this parliament, Australia’s asylum regime remains cruel and unjust.
Drawing on our deep experience in the trenches helping people navigate the asylum process, RACS's Roadmap sets out:
- 6 key principles for reform
- Concrete actions for pragmatic change from our leaders through Practical Recommendations
Join Sarah Dale and other members of the RACS team for an online briefing and Q&A on the Roadmap.
Whether you’re a long-time human rights advocate with a deep interest in this area or newer to the space, this lunchtime briefing aims to give you a better understanding of what changes are needed to move Australia towards justice and dignity for and with refugees.
