Hands On: Women: Climate: Change
As corporate and right-wing assaults ramp up on environmental protections, take inspiration from women leading resistance. This stirring 48-minute film profiles organisers from Norway, India, Canada, and Kenya. They are tackling climate change through policy, protest and education. By building youth organisations and mobilising their indigenous communities, they counter fossil fuel corporations and the many injustices of climate change.
Join us for discussion about the centrality of women’s leadership in the fight for climate justice. All genders welcome.
This event is a fundraiser for the Freedom Socialist and Freedom Socialist Organiser, two newspapers giving you revolutionary and optimistic socialist feminist writing from the grass roots.
Tickets are $25 solidarity, $15 waged and $10 unwaged and include a delicious finger food buffet. BYO drinks.
