Event description

Join Marty and the Pride Pledge team for informative online Rainbow Awareness 101 Training occurring every month throughout 2024 on Wednesdays, 10.30am - 12pm, hosted on ZOOM.

Our Rainbow Awareness Training sessions are informative workshops designed to support organisations and individuals who are wishing to improve their understanding of LGBTTQIAP + (Rainbow) communities. Rainbow Awareness Training is suitable for anyone wanting to become a better ally, but particularly for those in a professional setting.

What does the training cover? Our awareness training sessions cover a broad range of useful and topic information including;

  • Who are our Rainbow Communities?
  • Navigating the LGBTTQIAP+ alphabet
  • the difference between sex, gender and sexuality,
  • common definitions and terminology,
  • pronouns and tips for inclusive implementation,
  • what it means to be transgender,
  • the basics of intersectionality,
  • practical tips for being a better ally,
  • and more.

Register your attendance to receive your connection code on Humanitix now.

Please note that the content of this course is the same for each of the sessions we are running this year. While we will be continually updating this course, there's little need to schedule yourself in for multiple sessions!

Who is this training free for?

Please read the following information carefully. Our training is free for;

  • Individuals who have signed up to the Pride Pledge. It's completely free to sign up, more information on our website.
  • One member from an organisation that is yet to sign up, but would like to scope out our training service prior to doing so.
  • Members of an organisation that is signed up to Pride Pledge. (Please note we highly recommend that subscribing organisations organise their own in-house training session if they have large groups. In-house sessions allow us to customise content to your industry, answer and problem solve questions relevant to your staff experience and facilitate discussion. They're the vastly superior way to engage and up-skill your workforce to become better allies. More information on our website.)
