Event description

Rainbow Fish (Lawrence Folvig, Gabriella Hill, Moses Kington-Wallberg, Alex Tucker, Saskia Willinge) met in 2023 through the Australian Art Orchestra’s Creative Music Intensive, and have been trying to find their way back to the same state ever since. Forging an instant connection, their sound world can go from ambient to extreme noise and back again within a set, in a way which somehow feels right.

Mia Barham is an improvising musician based in Naarm, who released her debut album ‘Earth Songs’ at Tempo Rubato in 2023. She’s an integral member of the local Jazz scene, performing at both the MIJF and MWIJF, with her own groups and other projects.

Oscar Lenain is a bass player, composer and improviser who grew up on Wurundjeri Land in regional Victoria and now lives in Naarm. He has been touring and releasing music in many genre diverse projects as a sideman, including Paprika, LAZR Bees, Convenience Store, and various jazz outfits. His project Oggy Oggy began gigging in 2023 and he is currently recording his debut album.

$15/ $10, Brunswick Green, limited tickets at the door
