Rainbow Migrants: Let’s Connect

Come and meet new people, enjoy some snacks. Help us choose what we do next. A picnic? A walk in nature? Cooking together?

This event is for LGBTIQA+ migrants and refugees and people seeking protection in Australia because of who they love or who they are. You can bring a friend, or someone who supports you, like a case worker or an interpreter.

TRANSGENDER DAY OF REMEMBRANCE

20 November is Transgender Day of Remembrance. At the start, we will take a moment to remember trans and gender diverse people who lost their lives to violence.

YOUR PRIVACY

This is a safe space. We will not take photos of you without asking. What people share in the room stays in the room! You can register with your full name, your first name or a nickname.

WHEN AND WHERE

Friday 20 November 2026

Come any time from 5:30 pm. We will welcome everyone at 6 pm. We finish at 8 pm. We will share the room number closer to the event. The campus is close to trains and buses.

The event is free. Please register so we know how much food to bring. We will have snacks and soft drinks. There will be vegetarian and halal food. There is no alcohol. Please tell us about any allergies when you register.
