Interested in being supported to create a more inclusive and welcoming sporting club? Join Proud 2 Play for a 45-minute online information session to learn about our National Rainbow Ready Program.
This session is designed for club leaders, committee members, coaches, volunteers, sports bodies, LGAs and anyone interested in making sports clubs a safer and more inclusive place for LGBTQIA+ participants, in turn making it better for everyone.
During the session, you'll:
Learn what the Rainbow Ready Program is and how it supports clubs.
Explore the benefits of becoming a Rainbow Ready club.
Hear what the program involves, including training, resources, and accreditation.
Have the opportunity to ask questions and find out if the program is the right fit for your club.
Get insights into avenues for funding and currently available supported places, so your club is not out of pocket.
Whether you're just beginning your inclusion journey or looking to build on existing initiatives, this session will provide practical insights into how Proud 2 Play's Rainbow Ready program can help your club overcome barriers to inclusion, build culture and influence membership growth.

Mitch Nivalis
Mitch Nivalis (they/them) is currently the National Program Director at Proud 2 Play. Prior to this they ran their photography and video production company Making Visible for 20 years, with a focus on inclusion and visibility for underrepresented communities. Their first feature Documentary Equal the Contest was release in 2023 and went on to be selected for 9 film festivals (6 in Aus, 3 internationally), won 3 awards and held over 70 hosted screenings, changing the game in community sport. They are in development for their second feature Documentary, The Gender Game which aims to counter narratives around trans and gender diverse people in sport. Mitch currently serves on Sport Integrity Australia’s Culture and Safety Advisory Committee.
