Event description

WANT TO BE A BETTER DAD?

There’s a manual for just about everything these days… except for the most vital role many men will ever play: being a father!

Fatherhood is one of the most powerful influences in a child’s life. Research shows that children thrive - socially, emotionally, academically - when they have a present, engaged, and loving father. But in a challenging world that’s constantly shifting, good fathering requires more than the old “provide, protect, and punish” mindset. It demands a deeper, more intentional commitment to being there, and growing there, with your children. That’s where RAISING FATHERS comes in.

An Evening That Can Change the Way You Father

Backed by menALIVE’s over 20 years of engaging with men across Australia, a RAISING FATHERS evening offers a powerful mix of real stories, practical strategies, and deep reflection on what it truly means to be a father today. This event draws from the inspirational book Raising Fathers, co-authored by Robert Falzon -menALIVE co-founder - and 12 other Australian men. Their stories are raw, real, and relatable. They speak of joys and heartbreaks, mistakes and wisdom, legacy and love.

Leading the evening will be Doug Black, one of the book’s co-authors, along with Harin Corea, as they share their own experiences, both of being fathered and of fathering, with honesty and heart
