  • A minimum upfront payment is required to secure your order. This includes a surcharge, a non-refundable cancellation fee, and a refundable deposit.
  • You’ll receive a notification before each payment attempt. You must ensure sufficient funds are available.

Event description

Birkenhead Library is celebrating Phantom Billstickers National Poetry Day with an open mic night. Open to ages 18 and above.

Audience members are welcome to perform their own poetry, or someone else’s. Poets will be given 10 minutes or less to share their poems. The spoken poetry will be accompanied by music performed by Meyta Music Classes a local music school.

If you would like your work to be paired with chosen music by Meyta Music Classes on the night, send your poems to our email bkhwrk.bkhwrk@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz before 9th August 2025.

Light refreshments and giveaways will be provided.
