Event description
Come take part in the All Free Activities of the inaugural Falls Creek Mountain Film Festival where we celebrate mountain culture, ski touring,breathtaking outdoor adventure films and Falls Creek's local creative talent. This event is made possible thanks to the generous support from the State and Commonwealth Governments through the Falls Creek Community fund,and is facilitated by Falls Creek Guides and the Falls Creek Recovery.
Make a Local Film
Make a film in an MP4 format in one of the three categories and submit to macca@fallscreekguides.com.au by June 11.
Young Folk- Ages 5 to 14 make a film of something that you love and like about being in Falls Creek
Working Folk- Open age category make a film about a fello worker or a worker that inspires you in the community.
Good Folk - Open age category make a film about a hero or someone that does good in the community
Award Presenetation for the categories and an overall best film and best Cinematography is on June 13 at 7.30pm Falls Creek Hotel.
Local Business donation's for awards $4,000 for Local Film Maker entrants
Mountain Adventure Films
Warren Miller ALL Time and Young Folk Category starts at 4.00pm Falls Creek Hotel June 12.
Reel Rock, Women's Adventure , Working Folk and Good Folk screen from 4.00pm Falls Creek Hotel June 13
Falls Creek Guides Ski Touring
Meet at 8.00am June 13 and 14 at Pretty Valley Ski Lodge for equipment and briefing.
Minimum of an intermediate level is required all skis and skins provided by Falls Creek Guides.
In advent of no snow we will reshedule later in the season but please register for the event.
With the launch of this inaugural festival, our vision is to establish a cherished tradition that will endure for years to come, enriching our community and highlighting the unique spirit of mountain living.
