Excel Spreadsheets: A basic guide to creating and monitoring project budgets

In 2025, Regional Arts NSW is running a monthly program of online industry workshops to provide regional artists and arts organisations with advice and guidance.

Over one hour, RANSW CEO Tracey Callinan will take you through the basics of setting up an excel spreadsheet project budget. You will learn how to set out your income and expenditure columns, how to insert formulas to work out payments for artist fees, on-costs and travel and how to track your budget against the actual expenditure. 

You will need to have access to the Excel program - either of PC or Mac - to participate in this session.

Tracey Callinan joined the Regional Arts NSW team in 2022 as Chief Executive Officer after a 13-year stint as Executive Director of Arts OutWest. Tracey previously worked at the University of Sydney at the Conservatorium of Music and the Arts Council England with the national Creative Partnerships program.
