Rave Relief wishes to acknowledge the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, move and create. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and we strive to honor the trail-blazing brotherboys, sistergirls and LGBTQIA+ community who persevere while facing adversity and the effects of colonisation. We are grateful for the opportunity to come together and celebrate on this country we are so lucky to call home.
It always was, always will be Aboriginal Land.

6 YEARS OF RAVE RELIEF!
Welcome back our treasured Babes, Bxtches and Bottoms of Boorloo!
It's that time again, to strap-on for another lip-smacking, ass-clapping round of ✨Pride Night Magíc!✨
Across the past 5 editions we have whirled and smized across dancefloors, cheered and shrieked at performances, tested the loadbearing limits of the stage and, including our 2-year collaboration with Decolonise Pride, we have raised over $116,000 for charities, services, and community initiatives.
We're coming back even bigger for Pride 2024, expanding beyond the heritage walls of The Rechabite into neighbouring venues to add further dimensions of flavour to your Pride Night experience.
More details to cum.

In collaboration with TransFolk of WA, our team from last year has been working on establishing a Gender Affirming Care Mutual Aid Fund.

THE VIBE:
A respectful, consensual, supportive and loved-up atmosphere.

ACCESSIBILITY & SAFETY:
→ COVID:
If you feel unwell at all, please stay home.
There is fresh air intake in the performance spaces, though we note that ~80% of the event takes place indoors.
We encourage the wearing of face masks, and we suggest testing before the event. Hand sanitiser will be available.
If you test positive for Covid or are otherwise ill, we will gladly refund your ticket, please email us before 12pm on the day of the event, or pass your ticket on to a friend.
We'd like to remind all that there are many people in our community who remain especially vulnerable to Covid, and that the pandemic never ended.
→ Wheelchair accessibility:
• All floors of The Rechabite are wheelchair accessible, including the rooftop, main hall, basement, bathrooms and quieter / chill room. The upper balconies in the main hall are only accessible by stairs.
• Mechanics Institute (where LublyBOK takes place) is wheelchair accessible via a lift, though wheelchair users will need to circle a short distance around the block to access Mechanics. Please ask The Rechabite staff for directions or assistance.
• Alabama Song & Joe's Juice Joint (where Ralabama Bar takes place) is regretfully not wheelchair accessible. Alabama (upstairs) is on the 1st floor and accessed via a continuous flight of stairs. Joe's (downstairs) is a little below ground level and is accessed via a short series of steps.
→ Accessible entrance to the Rechabite is to the left of the main entrance (on William St). Staff and team will be available to provide directions.
→ Companion Card holders can attend free (+free entry for companion).
→ If waiting in the entry queue is not compatible with your disability, let the door staff know and they will let you skip the queue.
→ If you need assistance during the night, there will be Awareness Team on all floors of the venue wearing hi-vis & glo sticks.
→ Accessible viewing area is at the front-right of the dance floor.
→ Auslan Interpreter: Available upon request. Please email or contact us if you would benefit from sign interpretation of the performances and speeches in the Hall.
→ Bathrooms: In the Rechabite there will be 1 unisex accessible bathroom on the basement floor, and multiple gender-neutral toilets and FLINTA toilets (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, agender).
→ Seating will be provided on all floors of the venue: beanbags, bar stools, wooden benches using the wall as a back rest, backed chairs in the restaurant area (chill zone).
→ We will use only lower-intensity visual effects for the first half of the night. No white strobe lights will be used, ever.
→ There will be Awareness Team (friendly volunteers from the community) in hi-vis, who are there to help keep a caring eye out for you (rave-parent style), offer general guidance about the event and venue, and to help keep the night running smoothly.
→ There will be a quieter Chill Zone (from 10 / 10:30pm) in the Double Rainbow Restaurant (ground floor) with neutral lighting, comfy seating, wholesome activities and friendly volunteers. This will be set up once the restaurant diners have finished their meals.
→ A map of the venue is available here:

Please email or contact the Homopolitan or Rave Relief Instagram or The Rechabite or Homopolitan FB page if you have any specific requests or questions regarding your accessibility or safety. This includes issues involving abusers or people who pose a threat to others.

WHAT IS RAVE RELIEF:
Rave Relief is a lovingly curated pride party, filled with queer joy and alternative art & culture. We strive for a warm sense of community, and mutual respect and appreciation among attendees. We try our hardest to represent the modern values of our various communities and the wonderfully diverse people, tastes, and perspectives which make up the LGBTQIA+.
Rave Relief has run annually since 2019, including a 2 year collaboration with Boorloo Justice's 'Decolonise Pride' event in 2021 & 2022.
