Sparkling Wine and Caviar? Natural Wine and Tapas? Yes, please!

VinoTeca is honored to welcome Marti Pujol - West America Sales Manager for Raventós i Blanc and Vins Pepe Raventós. This prestigious estate has history that dates to 1497 with 21 generations of Raventós family have worked this 90h terroir in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia in Catalonia, Spain. It was Josep Raventós Fatjó who, after visiting the Champagne region in 1872, came home and made the first sparkling wine with Traditional Method using native grapes from our estate. Fast forward nearly 130 years to when Pepe Raventós i Vidal became the 21st generation winemaker in 2001. His father Manuel founded the arm Josep Maria Raventos i Blanc, a wine rich in history, character and an homage to his late father who was an integral champion of Spanish sparkling wine. The newest project Vins Pepe Raventos are harvested from micro-plots around the estate and vinified based on innovation with amphorae and cement tanks. These three unique wines are naturally made and reflect the future in winemaking, but stick to ancestral methods.

For this event, we have partnered with Rachael Pack from our VH neighbor Kinship Butchery to pair two different caviars with each sparkling wine - Raventos i Blanc Rosé and Blanc de Blanc. For the still wines, our bff Chef Pedro Porras has created three bites to match the three wines - Xarelo de la Vinya del Noguer, Malvasia de Sitges Vinya de la Plana, and Bastard Negre de les Terrasses del Serral.

This is a walk around tasting. Each wine will be poured in 2 ounce pours and paired. Doors open at 5:30, but we ask that you arrive no later than 7:00 to start the tasting. Last wine poured at 8:30.
