Come Sing With Us: A Special RAZA circle Honoring Esther’s 53rd Birthday & the Yarhzeit of the Rebbe Rashab

Step into a RAZA circle, a voice-driven improvisational listening experience, where we gather in song to honor this sacred day.

Through melodies and niggunim, we will celebrate Esther’s 53rd birthday and commemorate the yarhzeit of the 5th Lubavitcher Rebbe, the Rebbe Rashab, calling forth the spiritual resonance of this moment.

What to Expect:

This will be a deep dive into niggunim and sound, an exploration to meet your voice, feel your softness, touch your life force, and awaken your power.

Whether you are new to singing, have been told you “can’t” sing, or love to express yourself through voice, this space is for you.

This is not a performance or concert. It is a circle of song, a space to bring your heart and voice exactly as you are.

We will be sitting on a cozy, rug-covered floor. Some cushions will be available for floor seating, but please bring whatever you need for your personal comfort. Chair seating will be available for those who need.

Who is Welcome:

This RAZA circle is OPEN TO ALL, regardless of background or experience. Whether this is your first time in a singing circle or you’ve been part of many, your presence is welcome.

Facilitator:

Chana Raskin leads RAZA circle. She founded RAZA to explore the feminine voice in the Hasidic melodies of her childhood. Her work brings forth the depth and beauty of Chabad nigunim through a personal and communal lens.

In 2023, she released her debut album “Kapelya”, the first professionally recorded LP of women singing Chabad Hasidic niggunim. She has performed and led circles and workshops worldwide, both solo and with her all-female band and chorus.

Chana looks forward to sitting with you, holding your hearts, and singing together.

Let us call in this month of miracles through the sacred power of song.

With love,

Esther & The Sacred Music Project Team
