RCD Espanyol Football Camp 2026

The Strategic Partnership between John Paul College and RCD Espanyol de Barcelona is proud to offer JPC students the opportunity to participate in the RCD Espanyol Football Camp.

Leading the camp will be RCD Espanyol's Head of F7 Methodology, Michael Paule-Carres, who will travel from Barcelona to work alongside JPC Head Football Coach, Kerwin Jean-Pierre. Michael is part of one of Europe's most respected football development systems and will share the coaching philosophy, training methods and player development principles used throughout the RCD Espanyol academy.

Learn from RCD Espanyol's Head of F7 Methodology

Michael Paule-Carres plays a key role in the development of players and coaches across the RCD Espanyol academy system. Since joining RCD Espanyol in 2022, Michael has held leadership positions in International Football Development and Academy Culture and Values.

His work has focused on supporting players from U8 to U23 level, with an emphasis on technical and tactical development, intelligent decision-making, and creating positive learning environments for young athletes. His expertise in football development has been recognised internationally and featured by Sky Sports, La Vanguardia, Sport and the Modern Soccer Coach podcast

This is a rare opportunity for JPC students to learn directly from a senior academy coach working within one of Europe's leading football development systems and to experience the methodology that underpins player development at RCD Espanyol.

Who Should Attend?

This camp is open exclusively to JPC students in Years 4-12 and welcomes both boys and girls of all playing abilities.

Whether your child is new to football, plays socially with friends, represents JPC, or competes at an elite level, the camp has been designed to support players at every stage of their skill level.

What to Expect

Each day, players will participate in multiple on-field training sessions designed to develop technical skills, tactical understanding and game intelligence. Complementing these sessions will be off-field learning focused on areas such as nutrition, recovery and sport psychology, helping students gain a broader understanding of what it takes to perform and improve as an athlete.

Dates: Monday 21 September – Friday 25 September 2026

Times: 9am – 4 pm daily

Location: Cec Munns Sports Centre

Inclusions

• All coaching sessions, including on-field and off-field instruction

• Football Camp uniform (shirt, shorts and socks)

• Football equipment for use during the camp

• Supervision by JPC Football Coaches and staff

• Pizza party on the afternoon of Friday 25 September

Not Included: Morning tea and lunch

Cost

$500 per student
