September is Rural Road Safety month. The Rural City of Murray Bridge is supporting the Australian Road Safety Foundation (ARSF) in this national community-based road safety initiative, which is designed to highlight the additional risks of driving and/ or using rural and remote roads across Australia.
Despite less than a third of Australia’s population residing outside major cities, deaths on rural roads accounted for almost two-thirds of the 2023 road toll.
All road users are encouraged to get involved to help make a significant reduction in road trauma.
