Join the Rotary Club of Sydney Cove to hear the remarkable story of Musu, a young girl from Sierra Leone whose life was transformed aboard a Mercy Ships hospital ship.

NSW Ambassador Melody Woolford will take us behind the scenes of Mercy Ships and explore one of the world’s most overlooked health challenges: the five billion people who lack access to safe, affordable surgery.

Discover how volunteers from around the world come together aboard purpose-built hospital ships to provide free, life-changing operations—and how Mercy Ships works alongside local healthcare professionals and governments to strengthen surgical care long after the ships leave.

Melody brings more than a decade of experience in international development, philanthropy and humanitarian organisations across Australia and the United States. She will share what makes the Mercy Ships model distinctive, the people who make it possible, and how Australians are contributing to a healthier and more hopeful future for communities around the world.

Our Club Breakfast venue is aboard Captain Cook III, moored on at the King St Wharf in front of Bungalow 8, Lime St, which is a 7 minute walk through the pedestrian walkway from Wynyard station. Please note we don't leave the wharf.
