RDAMBSC Drop In Session - 25 March 2025
Event description
RDA Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast has started a consultation process to work with stakeholders across the region to define the areas of opportunity and impact for our efforts.
In May last year we set ourselves a new Vision and Focus Areas to help us get connect and build momentum in the region. Now, some 10months on, this is a good opportunity to take stock of what we have been doing and where we need to go to next.
In doing this we value the feedback of our regional leaders, business people, industry associations and partners.
As part of the process we have engaged with the University of Technology Sydney to prepare a discussion paper that provides some thought provoking data and questions. This is to help us consider how our region is changing and what our future needs look like. It is also about our RDA finding its right space within the region - in amongst a range of quality organisations, local government and initiatives that are already engaging in areas that are driving positive outcomes for our region. In this environment we need to find the highest impact opportunities for us to focus on, areas that don't duplicate the effort of others but do lean in to support and amplify where necessary.
We started this process with a series of consultation and information sessions throughout the region on 12 February where we were able to present on this initiative and introduce the Discussion paper and Insights paper. We have now released an online survey and our CEO is hosting 'Drop in' sessions at different locations across the region for the consultation period. Through this approach we hope to optimise the ability for people to engage with this process and help us refine our approach.
On Tuesday of each week from mid-March, these drop in sessions will be at a different location in the region. This session will be held between 10am and 1pm at the Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast at UniSC Sippy Downs Campus.
You can register for a specific timeslot which will guarantee a one on one conversation - but equally, if you don't mind potentially being part of a group conversation, you can turn up any time during the drop in session and have a yarn.
We also recognise that not everyone can make time during these hours and not everyone can attend a discussion in person. As a result we have made an additional ticket type available to enable you to request a virtual discussion at another, more convenient time.
