Event description

Attention all regional champions, economic development professionals, business and industry leaders, and local change agents!

Since our establishment in April 2024, RDAMBSC has been dedicated to building momentum and earning the trust of our communities. Our mission is clear: to maintain a strong presence across the region, engage purposefully with stakeholders, and work collaboratively to create tangible impact on the ground.

As a region experiencing significant growth, we face both exciting opportunities and the inevitable challenges that come with rapid development. These dynamics underscore the importance of collaboration and forward-thinking strategies to shape a sustainable and prosperous future.

In 2024, RDAMBSC partnered with the University of Technology Sydney's Centre for Local Government to dive into the data and conduct a small number of semi-structured interviews to inform an evidence based strategic positioning report. This work has been brought together in a discussion paper (downloadable from our website) which is designed to stimulate discussion and support consultation with a broad range of stakeholders across the region and beyond.

To this end, RDAMBSC is hosting a series of consultation sessions designed to bring regional stakeholders together. These sessions aim to shape our shared priorities, identify opportunities, and foster partnerships that will guide our collective efforts in the years to come.

The following sessions will be held on Wednesday, 12 February:

  • Noosa: 8-10am at The Peregian Digital Hub
  • Sunshine Coast: 11:30am-1:30pm at Altitude Nine
  • Moreton Bay: 3-5pm at UniSC Petrie Campus

*Nominate the session you want to attend by selecting the relevant ticket type. The presentations will be replicated for all three sites so you only need to attend one session.

We are eager to hear from regional industry groups, all levels of government, and our industry, business, and community leaders. Together, we can have a meaningful conversation about the future of our region, the challenges we face, and the role RDAMBSC can play in driving collaboration and achieving our shared vision.

Let’s work together to chart a course for a vibrant, resilient, and thriving region!
