Re-engage, re-invigorate and re-imagine:  The future of volunteering

Event description

Join this 60-minute webinar as we talk to sector leaders about what's next for volunteering, and how your organisation can move your volunteering forward in a "COVID-normal" world.

It’s no secret that many organisations in the not-for-profit and social sector rely on volunteers to achieve their impact goals. But in recent months traditional volunteering has been turned on its head, hastening long term trends and forcing organisations to rethink how they engage with volunteers. So what does this mean for the future of volunteering?

We’ll hear from the CEO of Volunteering Australia Mark Pearce, who will give us a brief overview of the state of the sector before we dive into a discussion with sector leaders about what will come next.

We'll discuss topics such as:

  • what community participation will look like in a socially distanced world;
  • who will be looking to connect with volunteer organisations (and how) in the future; and
  • what are the emerging trends.

You’ll come away with a better understanding of:

  • what’s next for volunteering;
  • how your organisation can invigorate younger generations to volunteer; and
  • what issues your organisation needs to be aware of as you look to re-engage your volunteers, or look for new volunteers, to support your cause
