(re)makerspace series: From Scraps to Sheets, Paper Making
Event description
Learn the art of paper-making by transforming scraps and market-found materials into beautiful new sheets of paper. In this hands-on 15 minute session, you’ll follow a step-by-step process using paper, cardboard and other materials found at the market like petals and spices to create unique paper sheets to take home. Plus, you’ll gain the skills to repeat the entire process at home, making sustainable paper from everyday materials.
Part of the Purpose Precinct's (re)makerspace series.
The Purpose Precinct is Australia's only social enterprise marketplace, supporting social enterprises to thrive.Â
About your workshop facilitator: Roger is the Pulp Professor, who hand-makes every single sheet for his business, Dodgy Paper, one by one from recycled and upcycled waste paper. There is enough paper on planet Earth already, so he uses all the paper that comes his way to turn into fresh sheets—and he wants to share this skill with you.
