Event description

Re-presented stories - creative workshop with Melissa Stannard

Join artist Melissa Stannard for a hands-on creative workshop at QSA, where archival records become the foundation for artistic exploration in image transfer. Through guided exercises, participants will uncover processes for using archival history and cultural heritage, transforming them into visual narratives. Attendees will learn image transfer techniques, engaging with archival materials to begin their own creative process. No prior experience is necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to experiment!

What to bring

All materials for the workshop are provided. We recommend bringing a water bottle and a packed lunch. There are no food outlets onsite at Queensland State Archives. Cafes and take-away options are available in the area surrounding the Archives but these are best reached by car.
