Description

One night of fashion, art, and community on October 2, 2026, at the San Pasqual Cultural Center. Join us as we host an unforgettable night that will showcase local artists in a curated exhibit and 6 Indigenous fashion designers. The San Pasqual Cultural Center overlooks Lake Wohlford, and the view is spectacular.

The art show will be curated by the Valley Center Art Gallery and Johnny Bear Contreras. The art will be on display during the showcase, and attendees can enjoy the art and chat with local artists. A show filled with paintings, sculptures, and mixed media sets the tone for the entire night.

The fashion show will showcase 6 Indigenous designers and their amazing creativity and skill. Many of the designers focus on sustainability, weaving those practices into their clothing lines.

Award-winning artist and designer Marti Daglio (Kumeyaay) of Worn & Reborn will share her vision with the audience: Indigenous brilliance captured through upcycled and reworked pieces.

Award-winning artist and designer Tiffany A. Wolfe (Navajo/Lakota) will show her collection, which is steeped in story and aesthetic. She uses sustainably sourced fabrics to create pieces that lean into an alternative look.

Gorgeous and steeped in culture, Paipa will provide us with wonder, woven pieces, and Indigenous beauty on the runway. Created by Angelica LaBrake (Kumeyaay) and Jadeana LaBrake (Kumeyaay), this line brings "One Culture from Our Roots to Your Everyday Wardrobe."

Mesmerizing brand Boogz Crypt, created by designer Elisabeth Lewis (Kumeyaay), will share a line that weaves together culture, storytelling, and an alternative, goth aesthetic. Her intertwining of these elements creates a beautiful and captivating show reflecting her talent and commitment to her craft.

Talented emerging designer Noah Trujillo (Desert Cahuilla), who specializes in traditional materials, will showcase their work for the first time on the Re-Threaded runway! Their commitment to culture and traditional practices is sure to wow the audience.

Making her debut on the runway is Lisa Sherman (Iipay), alongside her team at Tribal Sacred Waters. They will showcase a collection of activewear and traditional wear centered on the Indigenous past, present, and future.

Your ticket to the event includes the art show, fashion show, small bites, non-alcoholic drinks, a night of music curated by the DJ, and a whole lot of art, fun, and beauty. Come on out and enjoy the Re-Threaded Art and Fashion Show!
