Description
Join us for Read the Room at The Umbrian Cafe! Enjoy a relaxed afternoon of reading, guided conversation, and community. Bring your current read, discover new favourites, and enjoy the cozy atmosphere among fellow book lovers.
We'll enjoy 40 minutes of quiet reading, followed by conversation prompts so you can connect with your fellow readers. Solo readers are particularly welcome - but of course, bring your book-loving friends!
Refreshments will be available to purchase, and a drink voucher is available for each guest.
While this is a free community event, a contribution is greatly appreciated. Your support helps us continue this popular series and keep bringing book lovers together across Newcastle and the Hunter.

How to get there
Catch the Newcastle Light Rail to Crown Street Light Rail Station or Civic. It's a short walk to the Umbrian Cafe.
Parking
There is limited metered street parking directly on Hunter Street; time limits of 1 - 2 hours usually apply. The best off-street parking is Civic (number 9 on the map). It's about a 5 minute walk to The Umbrian Cafe.
