Reading Group with Erin Ginty
Description
On Sunday the 8th November, to close the exhibition i’m just like a bag of soil, Erin Ginty will facilitate a reading group that contemplates and extends out the themes of the exhibition, considering adaptive gardening, interspecies cross-pollination and ecological stewardship. The readings will be informally discussed alongside platters of food made with edible weeds foraged from the artists and friends gardens, allowing participants to experience and enjoy alternate ways of consumption. From Joy Williams’ short story One Acre to Erin Manning’s essay Promiscuous Pedagogies and Val Plumwood's essay Decolonising Australian Gardens, attendees will inquire into the likening of creative and gardening practice.
