Ready, Set, Sew!
Description
This class is perfect for absolute beginners! If you’ve recently bought a sewing machine but don’t know where to start, feel unsure about using it, or have never sewn before - this class is for you!
This course serves as an introduction to sewing and a one-time induction for those interested in attending additional classes and workshops. Once you’ve completed it, you’ll be ready to jump into the rest of our sewing calendar with confidence.
This course is suitable for ages 12 and up.
What will I learn?
Introduction to each of the machines
How to thread a machine
How to wind a bobbin
Basic troubleshooting
A tour of the shop to learn about how some common garments are sewn and what fabrics have been used
And, of course, you'll have time to practice!
If you're new to sewing or need a refresher, please book this class before enrolling in our other courses. Our induction will get you confident with using sewing machines and ready to go!
