👾 Ready? Start! is coming to Melbourne this October 24th & 25th! Join us to celebrate a weekend of gaming with:

  • 60+ Independent Artist Vendors

  • FGC Tournaments

  • Live Speedrunning

  • Performances

  • Indie Game Showcase

  • Community Activities

Ready? Start! is an annual independent gaming & art event in Melbourne, Australia. This event is entirely volunteer run & non-for-profit run, organised by a group of passionate queer & femme gamers who aim to open up the gaming community to everyone, making gaming accessible & fun for all!

FAQs

  • Do I need to RSVP to enter, or can I just rock up on the day?

    Please RSVP via Humanitix to confirm your spot at Ready? Start! 2026. This will help us with numbers, and crowd control. Upon arrival at St Kilda Town Hall, your ticket will be scanned and you will be given a wristband.

  • Can kids attend?

    Every attendee under the age of 18 is required to be accompanied by an adult at all times at. Ready? Start! is an all-ages event.

  • Is the venue accessible?

    St Kilda Town Hall is accessible via ramp access, and our aisles are wheelchair accessible with a minimum clearing of 1.5m. There is accessible toilets located on the ground floor of the venue. Town Hall has four accessible car park spaces, two on Carlisle Street and two that are off-road in the Brighton Road service lane car park.

  • How can I sign-up to Fighting Game Tournaments?

    To Signup to any of the tournaments run over the weekend, visit our Start.gg page linked below:

    There is an sign-up fee of $20, with $5 entry fee per game. This fee helps pay our hard-working and dedicated AV & FGC Team, and upkeep all of the equipment we provide.
