    Event description

    Your garden, no matter the size, can be an important steppingstone for wildlife to live and move throughout our city. ReWild Perth will empower you to incorporate local plants and habitat structures in your garden, courtyard, or balcony.

    Learn some of the basics of wildlife-friendly gardening in this 1-hour session and discover how to start your ReWilding journey through harnessing the free, user-friendly ReWild Perth website. Explore tailored garden action lists and hundreds of plant, animal and habitat structure profiles and guides.

    Type of event and expectations

    Adult workshop space- Guests are expected to follow instructions of the program facilitator, be respectful at all times and assume responsibility for their own safety. This workshop is not suitable for children.

    Accessibility

    This will be a seated presentation.

    Accessible parking is available at front of Centre, rooms are located on multiple levels via a ramp and toilets are available within the venue. For specific access requirements please feel free to call or email the centre at (08)9364 0191 or piney.lakes@melville.wa.gov.au.

    Directions to centre

    Please consider using public transportation. A bus stop, just a 2-minute walk away, is conveniently located near the Centre and services multiple routes.

    The Centre is located at 555 Leach Highway, Winthrop in the Piney Lakes reserve. To reach us, if heading westbound, take the first left after Murdoch Drive on Leach Highway. If coming from the Fremantle area, continue on Leach Hwy across Murdoch Drive and use the designated U-turn just after the lights to move to the westbound lanes. Go back through the lights at Murdoch Drive and take the first left. Please park in the signed public carpark.

    Recycling hub

    Bring the following items for recycling at Piney Lakes when you attend a workshop: household batteries, printer cartridges, light globes, mobile phones and chargers, writing instruments, plastic bread tags, oral care products, and plastic bottle lids.
