ReadyMade Works Ten Year Celebration Ten Hour Dance Marathon!
Event description
ReadyMade Works turned 10 this year! As a final celebration of this milestone, we are having a celebratory 10-hour dance marathon in the studio. The studio will be filled with dancing from 9am - 7pm on Sunday 15th December with 49 different independent dance artists taking part.
The 10-hour dance marathon will take the form of a mini and fast constant relay residency. Each participant will be given a 12-minute time slot within which to dance/move/practice, which will be witnessed by the following artist who will in turn have 12 minutes to loosely respond and be witnessed by the next artist.
The marathon is open to audience across the whole day. We imagine it will be a drop in affair, but you may choose to witness the whole 10 hours. Inside the studio will be for movement, attention, witnessing and watching, but outside the studio on the verandah, we will have time-specific catering (brunch! lunch! nibbles! drinks!) for people to connect and chat and celebrate and hang out. And once we're done, we may head down to the Lord Wolseley to have a well earned drink.
Drum roll for the incredible list of artists dancing this marathon.......
