Real Estate Breakfast 2024
Event description
LIC’s Evolution: Navigating Urban Transformation
This year’s theme, LIC’s Evolution: Navigating Urban Transformation, continues the tradition of exploring the state of the neighborhood, and the challenges and opportunities that underpin its status. In contrast to a more customary lineup featuring brokers and developers, this year’s panel also includes principals from unexpected arenas such as a pickleball court, upscale grocer, and art institution. Collectively, these individuals speak to the next act for LIC and the interconnectedness of its businesses, nonprofits, and real estate organizations. The panel will explore topics such as how the expanded Business Improvement District (BID) and current zoning changes contribute to LIC’s evolving landscape and attractiveness for real estate, and adjacent sectors.
Panel:
- David Brause, President, Brause Realty and Chairman, LIC BID (Moderator)
- Erica Desai, Co-Founder and Co-CEO, CityPickle
- Amy Hau, Director, The Noguchi Museum
- Evan Obsatz, CEO & Principal, Butterfield Market
- John Silviano, Principal, Barone Management
