Introduction to Reiki 1

Reiki is a holistic healing modality that connects us to the universal spiritual energy field, facilitating self-healing and well-being. The word 'Reiki' translates to 'universal spiritual energy' and the practice was founded in Japan by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. Many cultures throughout the world have similar traditions of heart-centered healing, acknowledging our natural ability to heal ourselves and others.

Horses, known for their deep sensitivity to energy, enhance this experience by helping us attune to our energetic presence and the mind-body connection. This retreat offers a unique opportunity to experience Reiki in an equine-assisted environment, deepening self-awareness, relaxation, and energetic balance.

How Horses Facilitate Energy Shifts and Healing

Horses are naturally attuned to the energetic states of those around them. Their heightened sensitivity allows them to mirror and respond to subtle shifts in our emotional and energetic fields. When we engage with horses in a mindful and present manner, they provide non-verbal feedback that helps us recognize our own energetic blockages and imbalances.

Through gentle interactions such as grooming, walking, or simply standing in their presence, participants often experience profound energetic shifts. Horses encourage grounding, emotional regulation, and the release of stagnant energy. This connection fosters deep healing, promoting inner clarity, calmness, and a renewed sense of balance.

What to Expect in Level 1

Reiki Level 1 is about self-discovery, energy awareness, and learning how to channel Reiki for self-healing. This course focuses on:

• Understanding and sensing the human energy field
• Developing mindfulness and presence through energy exercises
• Strengthening the connection between mind and body
• Learning Reiki 1 self-care techniques and attunement
• Experiencing healing interactions with horses

Upon completion, participants will receive a Reiki Equine-Assisted Learning Level 1 certificate.
