On REBEL YELL’s exhilarating new EP Miss Worldwide, the Sydney musician has ransacked Pitbull’s famous catchphrase for a collection of carnal, funny and sweet songs about self-assurance, bound to take over filthy dancefloors across the globe. The EP was recorded and produced by Grace Stevenson, with additional production by Sydney producer and artist Grasps.“These are hype songs for all different facets of life, that return to REBEL YELL’s origins of being very tongue-in-cheek” says Stevenson.

Since 2016, REBEL YELL has been making pummelling industrial pop with a soft centre. Her oeuvre (including full-length records Desolation, Fall From Grace and Hired Muscle) is characterised by brutal baselines, emotionally-searching subject matter and some of the most imaginative merch in all of Australian music (including the 2023 REBEL YELL elf plushie, outfitted with a sword pendant and a USB of album Desolation). She has toured across the globe, guest programmed ABC Rage, received an FBi SMAC Award nomination (for Marcus Whale collaboration ‘Pump’), played Splendour in the Grass and performed support slots for the likes of Charli XCX, Orbital and Lydia Lunch.

Prudns (“prudence”) crafts sad girl ethereal pop, twisting atmospheric synths and soaring vocals with DnB and breakbeats. Featured on triple j Unearthed and likened to Björk, Prudns turns her darkest emotions into atmospheric pop anthems that shimmer with intimacy and expansiveness. An entirely DIY artist, Prudns writes, records and produces all her own music.

Quails is a singer, producer, and DJ from Ngunnawal Country (Canberra, ACT) whose sound moves between shadowy R&B, energising breakbeat, and iridescent synth work. Since emerging in 2016, their music has found its way onto international TV (Lucifer, Catfish), radio (Triple J, FBi), and into the club, offering emotionally-charged vocals combined with future-facing, demure production that sits somewhere between the spectral intensity of Kelela and the edge of warehouse pop.
