Rebels at the Pub - monthly meet-up

The Scientist Rebellion Canberra Hub is a new formed group to bring together academics, students and professional staff working in universities in Canberra to discuss what should change in academia to meet the needs of the current times. We are inspired and part of the wider Scientist Rebellion Movement.

The Hub aims to build a community where we can openly and respectfully discuss what changes we would like to see, from moving away from the 'publish or perish' culture to the need for universities to divest from harmful industries. Everyone is welcome, regardless of your previous experience in advocacy and activism.

The Hub may engage in advocacy and activist activities in the future, but for now we just want to build a community of like-minded 'rebel' thinkers. The level of engagement in the group and its activities will be up to you.

Come and join us! We will announce the location a week before each meet-up, but be reassured there will be some shared finger food and a lot of fun ;)
