Recirculate Art Class for Seniors: Painting Portraits on Sustainable Textiles
Event description
Experienced portrait painter Linda Brescia will demonstrate her technique for painting and stitching on second-hand fabrics to create unique and sustainable portraits. You can choose plain fabric as a base for your portrait, or go wild and paint over patterned textiles. Embellish your portrait with anything from simple running stitches to more advanced embroidery. All levels of experience in painting and embroidery welcome, from beginners to experts! We have mirrors if you want to try self-portraiture, or bring a photo of someone you’d like to paint. If you have any special textile scraps feel free to bring them too, but all materials are provided.
