Recognise, Regulate, Restore: Reclaiming Wellbeing at Year’s End
Description
Recognise, Regulate, Restore: Reclaiming Wellbeing at Year’s End
It’s been a big year. If you’ve been holding other people’s stories, and a few of your own, this one’s for you.
Join Paula Moneypenny for a gentle, practical 90 minutes to help you notice where you’re at, settle your nervous system, and refill your reserves before the break. Together we’ll look at how client work and life outside work both add to our load, and at the quiet voice of the inner critic that tells us we should be coping better.
You’ll try some simple, kind practices you can use straight away, including a short self-compassion exercise, breath and grounding, and a guided relaxation. You’ll also leave with a one-page handout of ten practices and one small commitment for the summer.
Paula is a registered counsellor, narrative therapist and professional supervisor (MNZAC). Her Master of Counselling research explored the stories of blame and failure that can lead to practitioner burnout, and her practice draws on Compassion Focused Therapy, trauma-informed approaches and Mindful Self-Compassion.
