    Event description

Our Reconciliation 101: Storytelling with Adobe webinar will build your capacity and confidence to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in the classroom, by providing an introduction and information about:

      • Core concepts in Reconciliation in Education
      • Engaging with a Narragunnawali school-based Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
      • Building and strengthening relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

The webinar will then include a unique experience by Dr Tim Kitchen from Adobe that looks at the value of Adobe Express (free for K-12 browser-based design tool) to help students and teachers creatively communicate in any curriculum area. Adobe Express is all about story telling whether it’s a story within a still image, an animation or a video.

All you need is access to the internet via a laptop, there is nothing to install. Many schools provide full premium access to all students and staff through school logins, otherwise there is a freemium version for anyone over the age of 13.

Dr Tim Kitchen is Adobe’s Senior Education Specialist for the APAVC region. He has over 30 years of experience in education and is passionate about empowering the next generation to be life-long digital story tellers.
