Reconciliation in Education 101 - August 2023

Reconciliation NSW are thrilled to be offering a FREE Reconciliation in Education webinar to all educators in Cumberland City schools!

This session will build your capacity and confidence to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in the classroom, by providing an introduction and information about:

* Core concepts in Reconciliation in Education

* Overview of the National Reconciliation Week Theme and NAIDOC theme for 2023

* Accessing professional learning and curriculum resources though Reconciliation Australia’s Narragunnawali and Schools Reconciliation Challenge online platforms

* Engaging with a Narragunnawali school-based Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

* Using art and writing based activities to foster student pride and connection with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and contributions through the exploration of local stories.
