As Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Treaty, he continues to drive meaningful change, building on his deep commitment to justice and equity. A dedicated supporter of the Schools Reconciliation Challenge, he has previously served as a keynote speaker, inspiring the next generation through his leadership. | Joshua Gilbert is a Worimi man, environmental advocate, author and leader in Indigenous affairs, sustainable agriculture, and climate action. As Indigenous Co-Chair of Reconciliation NSW and a board member of multiple organizations, he drives change by blending Aboriginal wisdom with modern agricultural and environmental practices, shaping Australia’s agricultural future. |
Karen Mundine, a proud Bundjalung woman, is the CEO of Reconciliation Australia, bringing over 25 years of experience in community engagement, public advocacy, and social marketing. She has played pivotal roles in significant national events, including the Apology to the Stolen Generations and Corroboree 2000, and was honored as the 2023 National Winner of the Australian Awards for Excellence in Women’s Leadership. | Mundanara Bayles is a proud Wonnarua, Bundjalung, Birri-Gubba, and Gungalu woman, business leader, and advocate for her people. As Managing Director and Co-Founder of BlackCard, host of the award-winning Black Magic Woman podcast, and a recipient of the 2023 Indigenous Businesswoman of the Year award, she drives change through cultural capability training, education, and storytelling. |
Australia's Agricultural Identity, An Aboriginal Yarn by Joshua Gilbert
We are excited to announce the launch of Reconciliation NSW's Indigenous Co-Chair's Joshua Gilbert's book Australia's Agricultural Identity, An Aboriginal Yarn. In his book, Joshua explores the deep history of Indigenous agriculture and how blending ancient knowledge with modern innovation can shape the fuure of farming in Australia. Through powerful storytelling, he redefines what it means to farm on this land while caring for Country.
