Event description

Reconciliation SA is pleased to present the Inaugural Gala at Adelaide Oval, Kaurna Yerta.

This very special culinary event will treat guests to a 6-course degustation designed for the event by celebrity First Nations chef, Mark Olive using Native ingredients and Indigenous flavours in every course. We are pleased to also offer local wine pairings provided by our beverage sponsor Wirra Wirra, plus other beverage choices on the evening.

On the event, Chef Mark Olive says “I’m a huge admirer of the tireless work done by the Reconciliation SA team and can’t wait to come back to amazing Adelaide for their big gala event in October. I’ve been lucky enough to cook in kitchens and countries the world over but this will be my first time cooking at a sports arena. I can’t think of anywhere better for this ‘First Nations first’ than iconic Adelaide Oval… Bring it on!”

Hosted by Australian Television and Film actor Luke Carroll, with live performances by Kaiit and Marlon x Rulla as well as a special appearance by Chef Mark Olive, this is a premier event on the South Australian social calendar.

On the 20th anniversary of Reconciliation SA, this event allows guests the opportunity to support our organisations work in promoting and advocating for First Nations rights across SA by bidding during the events silent auction, which boasts over $10,000 worth of items.
