Online Forum: A reflection from NRW 2026 & What Comes Next for Reconciliation in Tasmania?

During National Reconciliation Week 2026, our TRUTH. RECKONING. CHANGE. breakfast program sparked important conversations about reconciliation in Tasmania – where we are now, what needs to change, and what it will take to move forward.

Now, we’re continuing the conversation and asking: where to from here?

We invite you to join us for a special online forum exploring what comes next for reconciliation in Tasmania, and how we can work together to turn conversation into meaningful action.

What comes next?

Reconciliation Tasmania CEO Pauline Cook will reflect on the key messages and conversations that emerged during NRW and what they mean for the future of reconciliation in Tasmania.

Pauline will also share Reconciliation Tasmania’s future focus, including how we are changing our approach in 2027 to create more opportunities for members to learn, connect and take meaningful action.

We are clear about the need for change, but we also recognise that we don’t have all the answers. What matters is that we continue to lean into the conversation, listen, learn and draw on our collective knowledge and experience to find a path forward.

This is about moving beyond conversation alone and working together towards approaches that deliver better outcomes for Tasmanian Aboriginal people, and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in Tasmania.

There will be time for questions and discussion at the end of the forum.
