Feather Flower Workshop + Dyurrite Walk | June 1, 2025
Join us for a powerful day of cultural connection and creativity on Wotjobaluk Country as part of Reconciliation Week: Bridging Now to Next.
This event is focused on reconciliation, healing, slowing down, listening and learning, and is a partnership between ACT Natimuk, Wurega Aboriginal Corporation, Goat Gallery, and the Gariwerd Wimmera Reconciliation Network. It aims to strengthen relationships and understanding in the community between First Peoples and non-Indigenous people by spending time and creating work together, and learning from each other.
In the spirit of reconciliation, this event aims to be friendly, welcoming, and culturally safe. Attendees should be respectful of First Peoples cultural lores and values.
Workshop: Learn the art of feather flower making with respected Wadi Wadi/Yorta Yorta/Ngarrindgeri artist Aunty Glenda Nicholls — Aunty Glenda will guide you through the technique of making the flowers, as well as her belief in paying respects to birds and animals.

Dyurrite Walk: Then join Wotjobaluk/Djubagalk/Jadawadjali artist Gail Harradine for a walk and talk at Dyurrite.
