Reconnect Day Retreat, Blue Mountains National Park

Join us for special bush walking day retreat in the Blue Mountains National Park led by nature-based learning and connection specialists, Gone Bush Adventures.

Put one foot in front of the next and allow your cup to be filled as you reconnect with nature and a friendly community of professionals and business owners in an inspiring, supported and positive environment.

Showcasing the magnificent Central Blue Mountains, our day walk will explore north Lawson, a diverse and stunning natural setting home to some of the finest walks in the mountains, abundant in natural and historical heritage.

Led by a loveable crew of bush walking guides and wellbeing facilitators, the day will provide plenty of opportunities to connect with other wonderful people as well as time to reflect and reconnect with nature in your own way.

Details Meeting at 8:30am at Queens Road, Lawson (Hilltop Cres intersection). Bush walking adventure to follow with gently guided experiences designed to connect and enrich. Finish time is 3:30pm at the same location. Total walk distance approx. 12km.

What's involved? Full day guided walking retreat fully supported including generous lunch served in the bush, healthy morning, snacks and drinks throughout the day.

Limited to 15 people. Registrations will close when places fill.

Important info on getting here

Travelling by train - Hazelbrook is the closest station, which is approximately 95 mins by train from Central Station or 70 mins from Parramatta.  A complimentary pick-up/drop-off service between Hazelbrook train station and the trail head in Lawson is offered to all who may require. Please arrive at Hazelbrook station by 8am if traveling by train.

Travelling by car - For those coming by car, park at the intersection of Queens Road and Hilltop Cres, Lawson. Allow 90 mins to reach from Sydney by car and ensure you arrive by 8:30am.

What to bring?

  • Comfortable walking clothing. Light weight, quick drying materials best.
  • Comfortable running/hiking shoes that are worn-in and have good grip
  • A light to midweight jacket/jumper 
  • A rain-jacket (to be provided if you don't have one)
  • Hiking backpack - only a small day pack is required 
  • 1 x water bottle (we will supply an additional 2 water bottles per person)
  • Personal medications and toiletries  
  • A hat and sunglasses highly recommended 
  • Spare shirt/change of clothes to change into after the walk (optional)

What will be supplied?

  • All food (including morning/afternoon tea, lunch and snacks)
  • Drinking water (2 x 900ml water bottles)
  • First aid kit, communication and navigation equipment
  • Waterproof rain jackets or ponchos for all participants (If raining)
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect repellent
  • Hand sanitiser
  • Toilet paper

Pre-event protocols - After registration, all participants will be required to complete an online 'consent to participate' form and 'basic medical check' questionnaire to assist with the event planning and safety/risk management.
