Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and Trauma Release

In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of craniosacral practice and how it is used with trauma. This is an excellent introduction to craniosacral and somatic-informed trauma work and is worthwhile weather you are just curious about craniosacral or know you want to continue your study. 

  • Experience the importance of presence, listening and a receptive touch as the foundation of a biodynamic craniosacral practice
  • Learn about the structure and function of the craniosacral system
  • Discover the 3 models of craniosacral practise
  • Begin to sense the subtle movement of the cranium on yourself 
  • Understand the essential elements of craniosacral practice
  • Experience Embodied Awareness
  • Learn the principles and necessary skills including verbal dialogue with receptive touch to facilitate the release of trauma safely and effectively
  • Learn the seven keys to safe and effective trauma work
  • Learn the signs of sympathetic nervous system dominance
  • Discover how to create a Bridge of Safety®
  • Understand the essential components of a traumatic reaction
  • Learn about the relationship between the brain, autonomic nervous system, hormonal system and trauma
  • Understand about intrinsic and extrinsic memory and how it relates to craniosacral and trauma
  • Learn the importance of stress resiliency

Presenter: Dr. Michael Aaron

Dr. Michael Aaron is director and lead instructor of the Craniosacral Institute Australia and has led craniosacral courses to health professionals and others in Australia, the United States and Italy since 1995. He has practiced integrative health care including craniosacral since 1978. Michael received his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in 1986.
