Functional Anatomy of the Pelvic Girdle

The Pelvis, also called the bony pelvis or pelvic girdle, in human anatomy, a basin-shaped complex of bones that connects the trunk and the legs, supports and balances the trunk.

In this interactive webinar, we will cover some of the important bony landmarks, origin, insertion, and actions of muscles of the pelvic girdle by applying different learning styles to optimize knowledge acquisition.

This webinar will cover:

Pelvic joint.

Ligaments and supporting structures.

Bony landmarks of the pelvis.

Muscles origins and insertions of the pelvic girdle.


Rafael Bucater

Rafael’s areas of expertise include musculoskeletal massage therapy, deep tissue and remedial massage, postural and biomechanical assessment.

He has a bachelor’s degree in physical education, post-degree in exercise physiology overseas, diploma of fitness, sports, and remedial massage, in Australia.

Rafael currently lectures at the Australian Institute of Fitness, Adelaide campus on fitness and massage courses for the last 5 years.

Rafael Bucater has presented at the 2019 South Australian Sports Medicine FAST conference to sports trainer on sports massage techniques and self-care techniques and offers in services and tutorials to new therapists.
