Functional Anatomy of the Shoulder Girdle

Shoulder function is a compromise between mobility and stability. It’s large mobility is based on the structure of the glenohumeral joint and the simultaneous motion of all segments of the shoulder girdle. (H E J Veeger 1, F C T van der Helm, 2007).

In this interactive webinar, we will cover some of the important bony landmarks, origin, insertion, and actions of muscles of the shoulder girdle by applying different learning styles to optimize knowledge acquisition.

This webinar will cover:

❖ Joints of the shoulder girdle;

❖ Ligaments and supporting structures;

❖ Bony landmarks of the shoulder complex;

❖ Muscles origins and insertions of the shoulder girdle
